What he is not is the smiling good chap which Mr. Brosnon seemed to represent who had made Bond some humane form of Superman/Spiderman breed.
The change not only casts spell for a while but also make it more distiguishable. No more Q's gyro style gadgetry ..... Only Bond .....certainly with the Best.
